Lucernička · effective from 7 September 2026 · closed testing version
The operator is a natural person running the Lucernička application. Contact: michal.cervinka@gmail.com.
The application is currently in closed testing for a limited group of families. Registration is invite-only.
| Data | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| E-mail and password | Signing in. The password is stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in readable form. | Until the account is deleted |
| Child profile — name or nickname, age, language, hero's name and gender | Personalising the story. The parent enters the name and it may be a nickname. | Until the profile or account is deleted |
| Created stories — text, audio recording and the wish the story grew from | So the parent can come back to a story and play it again, even offline. | Until the account is deleted |
| Usage data — when the account and profile were created, when a story was created and played, which paid limit was hit, device type, app version and language | To find out whether the app is any use to children and what doesn't work. | Not linked to the account (see below) |
The child's name, the hero's name, the story text and the e-mail are never written into the statistics. The account is represented by a one-way fingerprint that cannot be traced back to a person. Age is stored only in bands (3–5, 6–8, 9+), never exactly.
This isn't just a promise: the app lets only explicitly listed fields into the statistics and drops anything else, even if it were sent by mistake.
No advertising identifiers, tracking SDKs or third-party analytics services are used.
So that a story can be created and listened to, the story text (and the hero's name, if given) is passed to these processors:
| Service | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | Writing the story | The story brief: topic, age, language, hero's name and the wish the parent typed in their own words (120 characters at most) |
| Google (Gemini) | Story illustrations | A scene description |
| ElevenLabs, Google Cloud | Reading aloud | Story text for speech synthesis |
These services receive no e-mail, no password and no child's name. The processors are established outside the EU (USA); the transfer relies on the provider's standard contractual clauses.
Data is not sold and not passed to advertisers or data brokers.
On the operator's private server in the Czech Republic, not with a cloud provider. Traffic between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS).
The application is intended for parents who use it for their children. An adult creates and manages the account; the child does not register and does not enter anything. The parent enters the child's details and may use a nickname instead of a name.
The child profile and individual stories can be deleted at any time directly in the app.
Testing families will be informed of any substantial change by e-mail. The effective date is given in the header.
